1. Your Job is Not Your Life.
It probably feels like it is when you spend so much time there. Even when you’re not there it’s so difficult to switch off that you feel like you’re still on the clock, but you’re not getting paid for that time.
Your life is happening while you work, while you do everything you do.
How do you want to spend your life?
2. Your Job Title is Not Who You Are.
You are not a teacher or a business person or service staff or a manager.
You are a human being, doing a job.
If you changed jobs you’d still be a human.
Your title doesn’t make you who you are, you do.
3. Your Career is Not Your Life Purpose.
Having a purpose in life might mean you end up doing a particular job, but the reason you’re here isn’t that career.
The reason you are here is what that job allows you to do, and how it allows you to be.
You help, you teach, you support, you nurture, with or without your job.
You can’t help it. It’s a part of who you are.
